And as others have said The Final Fantasy series aren't sequels in the true sense of the word and only FFX has an actual sequel for it (something which annoys me alot when there are about 5 or 6 better FF's out there. Although i know why Square did a sequel for 10)
As for Tony Hawks, there were two games on PS1, enough to enjoy the game once, and then improve on it the second time round. Then there are the PS2 versions, 3 and 4, which did a similar thing. THPS3 got PS2 owners into it, and THPS4 took it further. I agree that a THPS5 would be pushing it, but that brings me to the next point - why get sick of it when you DON`T HAVE TO BUY IT!!! If you`re fed up of sequels, fine, but there will be people out there who have only just bought a PS2, in which case THPS4 is the obvious choice. Its new, its got the most polished gameplay, the most up to date graphics and the best selection of moves. For a first time THPS player, THPS4 is perfect, but if you own the other 3, and don`t want it, then so what? Don`t buy it!
The FF series just happen to have the same name, the actual games are completely different every time. It's probably the only game deserving of sequels, and a lot more to come I hope.
And, I bought THPS4 on Friday - I had the 2nd one on PSX - and was quite amazed by how much the game had improved and developed since then.
You should be having a go at Fifa, which really does just throw basically the same game out with a few updates. As do most of the EA Sport series'.
