XBOX TO BATTLE IN THE CLONE WARS... ONLINE

The Xbox version of LucasArts' Star Wars title will be playable in online multiplayer

15:20 Reports today are confirming that Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Xbox will be Xbox Live-enabled. Yes folks, this means that the game's multiplayer mode will be playable online. And as far as we're aware, this option will remain specific to Microsoft's console.
Further details are short on the ground, but the thought of fighting it out against other human players, in a videogame rendition of the breathtaking battle sequences from the Attack of the Clones movie, is incredibly enticing.

Buckled-up to the Xbox voice communicator headset, it'll surely be almost like you're caught up in the real thing. Because of course, the Clone Wares really happened.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Xbox is expected to arrive in the US in spring with a European debut following in the summer.

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but I know that a lot of people are.

After reading the review in a gamecube magazine, It did'nt get rated very highly, Because of the on-foot section and framerate issues.

Knights of the old republic will be better.

Really ? Thats ashame cause from what I saw of the footage and stuff before, it looked a retty decent game. :-(
So whats wrong with it that makes it all so crappy ? Galaxies and Knights of the Old Republic are definatly on my wants list. ;-)

Don't get your hopes up. It's as bad as Darth Vader himself. Save up for Star Wars: Galaxies.

A huge clone war sounds great, but not so impressive if limited to 16 players...

What I'd like to see is a 64 player + war.

Bandwidth heavy, I know, but with clever use of optimising on servers, they might be able to get round it.

In truth, it'll take more than an online option to make it worthwhile.

Precious few Star Wars videogames have ever been worth buying, and that's coming from a big Star Wars fan.
