"playstation 2's and sony too!!!..."

a few days ago, me and michelle (not good english, but i'm trying to find my voice here!) called round to my mate and his girlfriend's house to among other things go through the normal routine of catching up and exchanging our "happy new year!"'s as they'd been away for all of the yule period. now i love my mates house, it's big, bright, and full of cool stuff that costs lots more money than the things found in normal houses, ie. mine! oh and he's got a porsche too, not necessary for you to know but now i think you've got the idea. so, as you'd expect, sat next to his 278 inch tv that night was'nt just the usaual guests of me and michelle, oh no IT was there, it definately stood out proud, probably because standing it was! one playstation 2 had entered the house that fateful night that was christmas day morning and santa had perched it proudly on the best shelf of the neat IKEA shelf thing that hid the whole of that wall of the room. unbeleivably, next to it was a game, double trouble. i had to see this with my own eyes having only heard stories of the ps2 and how amazing it was, but come on, the nazis had properganda! "it's unopened!" was my response at realising that it..was...unopened!!!..."gta 3...hhmmmm???...lets get this baby in there and play thesucker!!!" i ordered. not even knowing where the on switch was i let him load it up!!!....



3 hours later and the girlfriends well and truely off with us....

ONE "DELAYED BY SIX WEEKS" ORDER FOR A PS2 WITH GTA3 and GT3
i'm gutted, i cant believe how good that console is and i want one now but there are none around! still soon, i'll have the games delievered and i can look at and read the instructions! Whoopie!

come on sony, whats the score, this aint a game show! sort out the ps2's for heavens sake!

in escense the x-box is a cracking idea, a pc/console hybrid at half the price. only trouble is they've missed the boat a little here. sure the x-box will have some good games with amazing graphics but they're up against a tried and tested console that every games playing nut or wannabe own or are sat at home twiddling their thumbs waiting for. the fact is the ps2 can be sold by one game, gran tourismo 3 and that cant be said for many new consoles since the old days of nintendo/mario and sega/sonic. the fact the ps2 also has gta3 is enough to persuade any man, woman or child to part with £200, i know thats what did it for me, and let it be known it only took twenty minutes before my mind was racing to the bank drawing the money out and ordering one. at best i think x-box's will be bought by gamesplayers who already own a ps2 and want the best of both worlds or people with more money than......me! anyway, i want my ps2 now!!! i personally will be leaving the x-box alone for a while, at least till the price comes down to 200 notes!

lol....u could get an x-box....i was in town today and they were doing pre orders on the x-box at dixons and the que was empty...lol.....so i asked them if they had any left (An empty que could of ment they were sold out) and they said "Yeah, we have quite alot(Well...even i was surprised)
Do u want to pre order one?" ......i quikly replied "Ehhh...arrr...erh....i havent got any money on me" and rushed off quikly. But i was very surprised they had a load left.....they were predicted to sell out within a hour.....well dixons had been open 5 hours. Oh well....hard look microsoft

it's not looking good if that guy ordered his in december, is it? what the hell are sony doing? making such a product takes years and the marketing department should be ready for any eventuality, to fall this short of stock is but what can i do, i'm just gonna have to wait like everybody else meanwhile sony are guarenteed another customer because they're product is simply too good to snub!

Guys, it is not SR's fault there are no PS2's to be had, I know a few people who waited to after Xmas to get a PS2 (fools !!!) and they cannot get one (serves them right I say). Sony are saying about 2 weeks for more stocks but I guess these will be snapped up quick.

Hey hey hey. Give special reserve a chance. Think about all those games that have been delivered to you on time. They've only betrayed me twice. First time when I won gameaday for my review on Hitman 2 back when I was called JCD, I claimed Smackdown 3 and they sent it to the wrong address, and when I claimed my free gift when I renewed my memberhsip last June. I asked for Thief 2 but it never came. They sent me a piece of paper saying they'll send it as soon as they get it in stock, well, it's been 7 months and I'm still waiting.... Wait a minute. I think I can sue them. kidding

Yeah i know what you mean, i ordered my PS2 along with 3 games and a multi-tap from special reserve on the 27th Dec. I have had no word on the PS2, although, i do have the games and the multi-tap. So almost 3 weeks and no PS2!! COME ON SPECIAL RESERVE!! GIVE US A CLUE WHEN THERE WILL BE MORE!!!
