pfff, as IB said the original was majorly overhyped and the sequel is no exception and that is the main reason why it will suceed and get 10/10 in Edge probably (well that and a backhander from Microsoft) If you want a decent futuristic FPS then Metroid Prime excels in every department sure it's been hyped a little but not nearly as much as Halo 2 will be when it nears it's inevitable release, heh by that time the sequel to Metroid Prime will be well underway and will be (as recently rumoured) online, then we will see how good halo 2 really is'nt...

Metroid isnt really a FPS... though

true, but it's made the transition from 2d side scroller adventure to FPS style 3d adventure (with morph ball bits) so well that it plays like a truly great FPS so technically it is and technically it is'nt but I think that it works better than Halo does.

Neither is Jedi Knight II, but it's still one of the best FPS' of all time.

It deserves the hype. Halo is one of, if not the best game this generation.
