Old Man willow is going to wrap his spell, Tom Bombadil will save the day, complete with his smart yellow boots. And I'm looking forward to it.

Drivel?, Well yes if you haven't an absolute clue what im on about!
Now at long last, we have a game on our hands that promises and from the looks already, will be faithful to the book!
The Fellowship of the Ring is approaching on X-Box, the Lord of the Rings title that follows the examples of the books, rather than Peter Jacksons Film.
From the screenshots so far and indeed the movie of the game, the title looks very promising.
I was hoping though of a game more 'Sprawling', with tasks of wandering about, but the developers have went their own way in which they feel would be benificial to the Game.
And with that you can't really complain.
Possibly a reason to buy an X-Box then? Well considering i wasn't going to get one, this is a title that i'll get the system for. That is though, that if reports are to go by, Gamecube will see a release, then i won't have to buy the green and black plastic slab.

Check the Lord of the Rings out at xbox.ign.com and make what you will.
It looks good.

The 'EA' versions which are based on the film will be Multi-format yes. But they are based on the 'Film' playing the role as Aragorn rather than Frodo.

But the Sierra versions being 'the Hobbit' and 'the Fellowship of the Ring' are based on the 'Book's (How many times am I going to say this) will be X-Box only, for the time being anyway-with strong hints about a GC release.

No you don't play as Aragorn in 'this' Lord of the Rings Game.
You play as Aragorn in the 'EA' Lord of the Rings game which is based on the FILM.
This Lord of the Rings game by Sierra Online is based on the BOOKS.
You play as Frodo, it has old Man Williow in it as well as Tom Bombadil!
You really have to go to that site and download the games trailer!!

In the game, you play Aragorn (Strider) right?
It'll neither be great like the book(s) and film, or a total pack of weak drivel.... Hopefully the former, but probably the latter - as most movie tie-in games are.
