I have considered buying a final fantasy because all my friends say its great but what one should i get?
should i wait till 10 or not?

well final fantasy 7 is the best but it's a little old now the graphics etc
final fantasy 8 was ok but not many people liked it.
final fantasy 9 was good but not better then 7.
you are gonna have to wait 6 months or so for ff10 to come out in on pal, but i recommend you get all of them and complete them starting from 7,8 and then 9 before ff10 come out.

Get them all. FF7 is £14 and FF8 and FF9 are £19. They are amazing games and should be owned. FF7 was probably my favourite one, but the other 2 are great game aswell. Each game will offer 40 hours + so money is well spent.

Yeah, FF7 is good. And Mystique what shop do you go to? I gt it for a tenner. You know, one of these smaller exclusively for gaming shops. they're really good. And by the way they did not pay me to say that. :-)
