Not so long ago, in 1998 I think it was, I preordered my Dreamcast and chose two games to go with it - Sonic Adventure and Soul Calibur.

"How fascinating" you may think, but wait! Sonic just had to be bought - no Sega console is complete without the spiky haired mascot residing upon it in some polygon form or another, but Soul Calibur.

After about 3 screenshots my mind was decided. I'd never seen anything so incredibly smooth and detailed - this 'game' looked absolutely superb, who cared how it played - I'd get it for the graphics alone, and thankfully the game rocked, stood high above the competition and was probably the best looking title to come out on the Dreamcast from a 3rd party.

So, who cares? I made a decision based on jaw ache - visuals are still clearly a vital aspect of a game, but although there are others too, "What are the graphics like?" is 'still' the most commonly asked question about a game. It's by no mean the most important feature, but if a game had the most amazing gameplay, but the developers didn't bother with the graphics, when clearly the game was meant to compete with, say, Metal Gear Solid, then it's failed.

Which brings me on to Wreckless. I'm suprised there aren't many people talking about this game - have you actually seen the screen shots? I was too embarassed to go to the doctor and explain that an X Box game, which I hadn't even played had given me jaw ache!

I've never seen anything that's looked so real before, and again I will get the game, and hope that the gameplay and other important features of the title are the same standard or thereabouts, which they should be if this game is to take GTA3's crown away, shove it in a black sack and hide it in ' Big Micky's ' warehouse...

Anyway - I seriously suggest that you check the shots out, and I'd recommend you rest your jaw on your knee to prevent drooling and the awkward task of picking it up from the floor.

Would you buy a game based on solely on 3"x3"?

X-box impresses me more and more everyday.

The £300 price tag looks more and more appealing. Any ideas on how many are being shipped into the UK?
