There comes a time when games are ready to take a new leap and rise above the reality ,make new objects which inharnce our playing experience. The Dreamcast offers a step in the right direction which is in the form of the visual memory unit(vmu)To mee it is more important than the modem bexcause it is small piece of magic which can be seen in the front of your controller. It adds a new wave of design to the games industry, rather than these plain boring memory cards this one has a liquid display screen which allows you to play games on the move, copy data from freinds and use it in your games and it supplies you with visual imformation on the screen to help with your games as you progress through your adventures. The potential of the vmu is just being utilised by developers by putting more effort in to the memory card ,take power stone for example it has 3 wicked mini games to download off of the game,if you go on the website you can download this cool american football title for free.Developers are creating mini games on the move which surely has to be a step in the right direction for the games industry. In the coming years I think we will see a increase in the way companies and developers build and use memory cards to their advantage.Look at Sega it is noe turning the vmu into a mp3 player which can only be good news, and maybe some day we will see mobile phones joining together with the memorycards to add a better experience for the games player,we could even see the internet appearing on the vm's.The future is a fuuny old game where no one can see yet everyone hopes.
