Have you noticed how the controller of the SNES has been the basis of nearly all the next gen console controllers.

The SNES controller was used on the Playstation with lil modifications but it was basically the same.

The playstation 2 has a similar controller again!

The Gamecube has the same shape controller but with a lot of modifications!

The N64 however had a different one which was then copied by Sega for the dreamcast. The middle part was taken away and made more square but the actual position of most button are siilar.

I agree. The SNES had a certain quality that made it so playable. I think it's sad that I don't play it much any more. I still like it a lot but I like to play even more games. My brother use to buy second hand games in the shops but they don't seem to sell them any more!

I had noticed that. It must be because the SNES gave the best game play of any console in my memory, so every other company has copied it, just a shame they didn't realise that it was Nintendo's games that made it great, not the controller!
