At first (reading the instruction manual and watching the demos) it all seemed a bit daunting - a "musical shooter", what the hell is that? - but once I started to play, what a bizarre and original game.
I found myself staring at the screen totally transfixed by the hypnotic gameplay and psychedelic visuals.
I've only just scratched the surface of the game, but what I've seen so far has been cool. It's a joy to play. The way the trancey music and the shooting combine is excellent.
If like me you like games that take you to places where you've never been before, then my advice is: get Rez.
Thank you SEGA once again.
Well, I'm off to play some more.
