Here's an idea.
Your best bits from any FF.

The top one, of course, is Aeris's death.
*Sob*

Followed by the moment everyone realised it's pronounced Choke-obos not Choc-obos when it was said in FFX.

And the FF8 ending just plain ruled.

Any more?
I wouldn't like to not leave you any : )

Go on then.

The Garden Battle scenes from FF8.

Getting ANY of the airships for the first time.

The motorbike chase in FF7.

Sin destroying Kilika in FFX.

Dark Aeons the first time you meet them.

Airships.
Doesn't that just rule, you can go anywhere you want. Huzzah!
6's was the best. It went soo damn fast.

Oh, and the 'Whistling scene' leaving Luca (FFX) brought a tear to my eye.

Final Fantasy VII's opening sequence is still pretty cool.

The subtle way in which Final Fantasy 7 tried to subliminally suggest that you save your game regularly:

Shall we:

1)Rest

2)Go north

3)SAVE DATA

All the way through the game.

I think some of the first stuff I saw of the FF world has left the biggest impression. I`ve loved every moment of Final Fantasy since then, but the real impact came when I first played Final Fantasy 7, seeing the intro for the first time, and then realising how big everything was when sat on the train talking to new found friends. It was so refreshing to be lost in a game, rather than knowing exactly where you were and what you had to do, e.g. start on plank, jump to hill, over buzzing bomber, run to boss, hit boss, finish.

Hey! Good point! The aeons/summons/GFs etc... are often very cool!

Knights of the Round for the first time...

Bahamut in his many different versions (some were *very* cool).

Eden once you have your strength up, how over the top was that? :D

Yojimbo and Odin often did some quite cool stuff too.

My favourite moments of FF would be

Aeris' death - Square will have a hard time ever topping that.

The early bit of FF8 when you're talking to Quistis while walking down a corridor then the camera just pans out to show a load of students moving around the square. I was amazed how it cut into that even after playing FF7 and viewing the intro of that game.

Seeing Palmer get run over by that truck in FF7. very funny.

The way the camera panned around Zidane while he was falling in the end sequence and goes past Kuja in a matrix style. Quite cool

And the first time Lulu appeared in FFX. well hellllllo there ;)
