One of my mates got a PS2 just before Christmas.
Anyway he was asking the other day if I knew of any good strategy games, like where you control an army of soldiers and send them out to do battle etc as he likes them.
I don't. So I know nothing about which are great, good or really pants.
So can you help?

Conflict Zone is cool. That would be the best for controlling your own army and stuff.

Also, there's a rumour doing the rounds that Westwood Studios are going to announce a Command and Conquer game for the PS2, which might be right up your mate's street. C&C Generals was only just released on PC, so we might see a PS2 port in the near future.

Out of that lot, Kessen is probably the closest to your friend's strategy game description, personally I hated it. Army Men RTS is a good option, loads of men to deploy in that, but as with most 3DO titles you'd have to really love the genre to appreciate the game. I prefer something more like Commandos 2, but of course that's just personal.
