V-Rally 3
Midnight Club 2
Thief 3 (Xbox Exclusive)
Soldier of Fortune 2
Red Faction 2
Burnout 2
The Sims (Was confirmed last week so you should already know)
Xbox Unofficial Light Gun
There were doubts about Burnout 2 coming to the Xbox but it has been confirmed as a May release by the developer who wanted to keep the game under raps. The game will apparently have exclusive features just for the Xbox version yet they won't be revealed until nearer the release.
Another shock to me was Virtua Fighter RPG was was originally a GameCube exclusive! 2 weeks a go the game was canned for release but now with the name 'Virtua Fighter: Quest' it will be released on the Xbox and GameCube for sometime in 2003. The game will be released towards the end of the year according to Sega however a UK release is likely to be early 2004 as Yo Suzuki is wanting to add exclusive features to the Xbox version including downloadable content via Xbox Live!
The Light Gun rumours have been spreading around the forums but a Gun has now been officialy announced! The release of the Light Gun will coincide with the release of 'House of the Dead 3' for May this year! Sega are hoping that the game will boost sales in Japan when the Gun is released and further push the Xbox marketing campaign.
Rumours were spreading about whether or not Soldier of Fortune 2 will be released onto the Xbox but it is now official and the game has been given a release for mid March. Although the release date will probably slip the developers are using the extra time to make the game playable over Xbox Live. I will be looking out for more on this one!
The biggest surprise for me was to see Thief 3 getting a definite release for October this year! The developers have revealed that the game will be released in time for Christmas this year to join the likes of Doom 3, Halo 2, Perfect Dark 2 and Deus EX 2. The game will be an Xbox exclusive and is set to be a very big hit towards the end of this year.
There was also a worthy bit of information regarding Halo 2 in this months XBM. Bungie have stated that the graphics witnessed in the trailer are actual in game graphics and for those who have seen the game will know how good they actually are. In this months issue there is a 5 page guide with screen shots and information regarding Halo 2 and what the game will include. Amongst the new weapons Bungie have stated that the Flamthrower which was originally schedueled for Halo will appear in Halo 2! There were also pictures of the vehicles in Halo 2 and some of them looked truly amazing. The new lighting effects will boast "the greatest graphics witnessed in a video game to date" according to Bungie and the only way they could describe the game was a cross between Doom 3/Halo/Goldeneye?!
Yet another interesting set of games officially confirmed for this year then, your thoughts on the matter? Which out the list above are you most looking forward to?
> thief 3?

They did
It's being made by Ion Storm

Bungie have stated that the graphics are going to "blow anything else away" and we should expect to see mind blowing lighting effects. Master Chief now has reflection mapping across his whole body which means that those amazing lighting effects seen on Master Chiefs Visor will now appear else where on his body. Unlike the Master Chief seen in Halo they have redesigned his outfit (colours and everything stay the same) and from the screen shots and Video footage it looks amazing to say the very least. The Warthog has been given a make over and it now contains Bump Mapping like the new Master Chief and the screen shots looked very special indeed. There was one thing that left me puzzled and that was the fact that there was no mount gun for the back of the Warthog?! However Bungie have assured people that there is going to be one but it will be different?!
Xbox Live is going to be HUGE!!! with Halo 2 and to get gamers excited they realeased information about a full scale WAR across Xbox Live where 16 Master Chiefs can team up and take on 100's of Covenant military 8-O!
The indoor environments are going to be as "stunning" as the out door environemnts this time and Bungie have heeded the minor complaints about the latter stages of Halo and the similarity of the indoor environemnts.
There is so much I could go on talking about but I don't want to bore those who have read about Halo 2. If anyone would like anymore information just ask and I will grant you your wish :)
Halo 2- the biggie. I want to see something playable at E3.
