So I've downloaded the correct software for my PC from the Microsoft download site, I install it and some stuff happens which is too quick to see, then a dialog box appears:
"Installation did not complete"
Could some help me out here? How can I get it to work?

what version of windows are you running? if ur using XP or above it should automatically detect the xbox controller and install the correct drivers. if not i advise you to run windows update to see if there are any new updates. this worke for me, hope it helps
i did'nt even know there was xbox 360 controllers 4 pc sorry can't help u out with that or maybe u need a installation disk 4 it
