Having borrowed Max Payne off a friend last week, I completed it last night. On the last level, after watching an impressive cutscene, I was greeted with the screen going black and a message popping up saying "Congratulations, you have completed Max Payne". I was quite shocked as I had expected a little more, and not just some sloppy ending. The same goes for Pokemon, which I admit to have played for hours when it was released. When I had got all 151 Pokemon (Including Mew), I went to some guy in the game to be presented with............. a certificate! How pathetic, you expect more than that after labouring for so long on the game. Has anyone else here had a similar experience after completing a game?

For most games I have bought, I'd thought in advance that they would last for a reasonable amount of time, but you never really know for sure how much longevity a game actually has, do you. Just because a game may not last forever doesn't mean people shouldn't get it. It's simply fun while it lasts.

If most games are like that, then shouldn't we expect a game to be like that when we buy it?

I know what you mean - the ending was too rushed, and there wasn't a very good conclusion either.

I felt the same way about Max Payne, but the funny thing is as I was progressing it seemed as though the game would never end, but then it was like the story was cut short, causing for a very early and frustrating ending.

Same could be said about 'The Getaway' too, and a lot of other games for that matter. It truly does take the p*ss!

I hate games that finshed to early,

My biggest let down was GTA:VC. I played it for aboy 20 hours and completed all the missions. It was crap. All there was left to do was the brong hidden packages and that.
