I know it is not perfect but let me knopw what you think!
"The Console Wars" - The key participants. An explanation for footy fans:
Sony: Man Utd - Previous success has been huge. Think they are unstoppable without realizing how close the competition is. Has a good headstart on it's competition. And can never really be written off.
Microsoft: Leeds - Disliked by most for their "unconventional" style and aggressive tactics. Capable of upsetting just about anyone. Leader is always in arguments and disliked like his team. Has bought up some of the best from under the noses of the competition.
Nintendo: Arsenal - Perennial bridesmaids. Have a huge amount of great and exciting games but heavily criticized in the past for lack of quantity delivery. Looks outside of UK for its main success. Acknowledged by some as puritans of games
SEGA: Liverpool - Hugely successful with flair and success at home and abroad. Had to change there style recently to concentrate on "winning games". Huge support base at home and a loyal following abroad.
Square: Newcastle - Looked ready for a glorious few years but some terrible managerial decisions have knocked them back a bit, recently improved but the next few years could be telling.
Konami: Chelsea - Trying hard to be one of the big boys, some glorious performers but have been around for a while now. With less new talent coming through.
Capcom: Aston Villa - Trying to move forward having been stuck in the past for decades. No one really expects much from them.
EA: Sunderland - Huge supporter base. Likes to think it's product is worth plenty, yet is largely ignored by "non fans". Seem happy cashing in to the fans they already have without improving or moving forward at all.
Interplay: West Ham - In need of finance and direction.
Spectrum: Everton - Has some supporters tucked away somewhere but haven't had any impact since the 80's. Not likely to change in the future
Amstrad: Charlton - at the beginning they had a huge fan base after some fantastic games. When they didn't improve they dropped into obscurity what may be a revival. Non-threatening to anyone and hence can go unnoticed and no-one minds their limited success.
Please note that no company can be associated with Spurs. The closest thing would be the Neo-Geo but apparently they had produced games people would pay for.
