Ever since the PS2 release and SR putting the PS1 and PS2 forums together no one's really mentioned anything about PS1 games since. I recently bought Fear Effect 2 for a stupidly low price in the sales and it's one of the best games I've played all year, It lacks the WOW effect you'd propably get with a new PS2 release but it's fantastic. I was getting a bit sick of games I could easily finish if I rented them out but this is spread over 4 discs and friggen HUGE!!!!

Just wondered if anyone still bothers with them, because there are some gems out there for next to nothing :-)

how can a games magazine cover PS1 releases when there's nothing to cover? magazines say they will cover psone releases but they need something to review and write about they can't just write about nothing can they? i've seen a reviews of worms world party on psone in the last month or so but everything else coming out on psone now is aimed at 4 yr olds and not really worth the time to review

Well, I always look around in bargain area's because i'm not willing to pay £20/£30 for a PS1 game, and i've found some good deals for old games.

In general, however, a lot of promises regarding PS1 have been broken. It was said that the console WOULDN'T be forgotten about, and that there'd still be a mountain of games for the console.

Yeah, right.

Most of the magazines on the market also pledged their future to BOTH PS2 and PS1, but nowdays there's no PS1 coverage in the likes of PSW.

They are making one I think, called Destruction Derby Raw.

SR have it down for release on 15th Feb but I've seen nothing about it, heard nothing about it on this forum either.

I really did enjoy DD when it came out on the PSx and imagine the gameplay now with the advancement of the PS2 over the PSx.....could be a good game to pick up.

I don't bother with them anymore really, all the ones that I had for my PS1 have been traded in for PS2 games, and though some of them were great, theres plenty of next gen games to keep me occupied.

But they have to make another Destruction Derby game!
