I downloaded this for a Snes emulator recently and it's a top game (and should NOT become a First Person Shooter, but I'll save THAT rant for another time...)

Thing is, I'm stuck so if anyone is familiar with the game, perhaps they can help me.

I've just aquired the charge up laser and the more powerful rocket (after defeating a Plant Boss).
Using this new rocket I can get through a green door but that leads to now where.
There's a yellow door I can't get through.

Without getting through this yellow door, there are two places I can go.
Both I can't get to.
One because the floor crumbles as I run/roll over it (I can't jump because there are spikes on the roof)
The other because while the floor crumbles beneath me (AGAIN!) a metal door comes down and blocks my way.

Anyone know what I should do next?

I guess it's time to turn to teh darkside then.

I hate having to use walkthroughs. They make me feel cheap and skilless! :-D

Whatsmore, I always end up reading more than I need...

I can't remember the URL, but if you do a Yahoo or Lycos search on Super Metroid, there's a couple of excellant walkthroughs out there in cyberspace. I had to use one about a year ago when I re-bought a SNES and a load of classics.

I got through a few gaps like that but that's what got me to that green door.

I know where I can and can't go using the map.
The map shows two power-ups past these crumbling floors.

One power-up is past crumbling floors which I can hop accross, but then a metal door comes down to block my path.
The other is past crumbling floors that I can't hop across as there are spikes hanging off the roof.

Once I get past one of these, I ought to be ok.

Let me think now...

You can become a ball, right? You know you can place bombs and stuff around, yeah?

Put some bombs next to walls, blow em up. If that doesn't work, put another bomb there, roll into a ball on lie on it, and push towards the wall. You might get catapulted up and through a small gap in the wall.

Can't think of anything else at the moment.

I agree with the first person thing... I really have trouble seeing it work, but good luck to them.

I'll have to start playing it again...

CAn anyone here help?
