This isn't some new extreme sport, it's a term coined for when one of your favourite TV programmes peaked in some way, and everything after was an anticlimax, or just second rate. I first visited www.jumptheshark.com a couple of years back, and it really is a goldmine of useless trivia (in a good way) on TV series. OK, so you can watch a lot of old stuff on Sky, but this site makes you realise how much more they *could* show.

Anyway, why am I posting this now? Well I switched on the Paramount Comedy Channel last night, and lo and behold, the episode of Happy Days that coined the phrase 'Jump the shark' was on! With the Fonz having to waterski jump over a shark (yes, I know......). Not only that, but he was wearing his leather jacket, light blue shorts (those disgusting short shorts from the late 70s / early 80s), and a bright yellow flotation ring. He was still supposedly cool. So off I went to the jumptheshark website again, and discovered it all over again. It's well worth a visit.

So the question is, where did your favourite TV programme 'jump the shark'?

That's pretty good actually. Well done, have a banana. I looked up the Simpsons straight away, because I'm convinced there's no life in the old sow.
