Fine, the PS2 launch is only months away, and rumours have it you will be coughing up half a grand to get your unit, so why don't Sony just sell an emulator that is compatible with your PC to give it emotion engine capability, and then write games for that? A large number of PS fans have PC's now, but we are all getting a bit fed up forking out large amounts of money for newer versions of the PS console to play sequels that were available on the older version.

Sony are making way too much money from the PS, that's why it won't happen. They've got their niche and they are going to milk it dry. PC's, as we know, have always until now been able to outperform consoles, and as their prices keep falling and power keeps growing and memory gets bigger, the more attractive alternative the PC will become.

Even as a PS fan, I find myself looking forward to the day Sony just bite the bullet and start to write games directly for the PC. Presumably this will be just after the PS4 (Revolution) is released at just under two grand a unit in 2003.
