That's if you look upon the original Mario games for that matter, instead of the 'Tie-ins' being Mario Party.
Im on about the Platformer Mario, his true home.
And yes, don't argue with me either, Miyamotos little fat plumber in these games are a total source for gaming perfection, whichever era.
I know the slight utterances of 'Fat-Plumber' doesn't sound so appealing, but heck, the games are pure quality and ooze in gameplay and attitude from title to title.
Ever since Super Mario 64, gamers the world over have been crying out for a true sequel. A sequel that will live up to everyone's expectations-and I mean 'Everyone' from consumers to even developers the world over.
When a Mario title is released, you can bet it will be snapped up by every development company vying for a piece or idea from Nintendos successful fat plumber(Naughty Dog to mention one).
And with Mario sunshine, Miyamoto's killer-app, it is one title above anything else that i am looking forward to on any console, let alone everybody else too.
Possibly it will be the greatest game of all time to date and one i'll will have on pre-order at the earliest opportunity.
The title has been confirmed for release this year along with Zelda. And it will be shown at this years E3 in May.
Now how can no-one not get the slightest bit excited about that? seeing the game moving along in all its glory let alone reports of how it plays!
I just hope that the experience when i finally do play it, in my own home at my own Gamecube will surpass the experience I had when i first played Mario 64.
Now thats something to wait for, isn't it?.
Mario 64 beats Sonic Adventure 1&2 hands down.
I'm still undecided which console to buy next. I'm edging towards a PS2 - GTA3 & The Getaway being the main reasons.
But then again, the Xbox has Jet Set Radio Future and supposedly Crazy Taxi Next - my two favourite game series.
But my next choice of console will not be purely down to which SEGA games appear on them.
I may still get a GameCube yet - you never know - stranger things have happened.
I just wish I could afford them all.
That is, if your favourite part of Sega came from the Sonic Team (Yuji Naka). If you're more of a Suzuki fan, I suppose you'll be plumbing for one of the other two systems (although he is meant to be announcing GC games some time soon...)
But will I be buying a GameCube to play Mario Sunshine?
No.
And why not?
Er, I don't rightly know....
