The Playstation 2 will be a good console, no questions asked, but the way Sony are going about releasing it, you would think they have to have more lessons in Market research. The new ordering system may be more "effiecient" than rushing to a shop at mid-night and waiting, only to be told they sold out an hour ago, but will it work? I have seen adverts in various electronic retailers asking for £25 just to stand a chance of getting a Playstation 2 for Christmas. A very cunning way of getting another £25 out of our pockets, Sony. We all know the higher the demand for a product, the higher the price, which brings me to my next point. Why do we pay an extra £90+ here in the UK and the rest of Europe; a press release by Sony revealed all. They had to change the console design to manage the different electricity voltage, they had to convert the Playstation into different European languages, can these excuses justify paying an extra £100, unlike our Eastern and Western friends America and Japan. Everybody is worried about how the games will look, how many polygons it can run per second, but what really matters is the price we pay for these things. I feel here in the UK and the rest of Europe have to pay too much for our products, and we should let the "big boys" know. So before you go and argue "who is better," just think to yourself we arent we getting a fair deal! Peace People :0)
