A PC version would never compete against the PS2 version because the PS2 and PC are completely different machines.
However, it's still great that the biggest driving game of all time is coming to a format that a huge amount of people have. Shame, however, that you'll probably need a good graphics chip/processor to play it properly.

I don't think the PC version will be a threat to the PS2. If they announced they were going to release it on the Xbox or GC I would panic.

I don't expect controlling the cars to be such a solid affair as using the DualShock2 controller. Unless you've got a steering wheel ofcourse.
good for the pc...it's about time they got a REALLY good driving game....
I don't think Sony should put GT3 on another format as it's one of it's killer apps - like Final Fantasy.
