Everywhere I look, these ceatures lurk
Beyond the valleys of the typical clerk
Moping about like it's been done before
But that's the truth, they seem forever more.

From one to two and three to four
Sometimes five to six, even a dozen more
The fact remains these creatures from the deep
Never rest and never sleep.

Open your eyes, just look around
Your games collection, bad or sound
What do you notice?
What can you see?
A couple of sequels, undoubtedly.

Have you guessed what it is yet that's bothering me
Worse than the smile of Carol Smilie
It's not at all games that are good and fun
But the consistency of sequels, remaining unchanged and dumb.

Sequels are creatures because they reproduce
At a rapid rate that doesn't induce
The thoughts of a gamer when it reaches sight:
"We've seen it before! How can this enlight!?"

Films are a good example of when sequels go wrong
Acting exaggerated, special effects too long
Luckily for us, this feature's quite rare
To the true potential of this creature's glare.

Risks aside and thoughts ahead
Sequels are made for better stead
Improving on the flaws that were before
Increasing the chance of a popular galore.

Too many focus on the negative side
Criticising games as they swallow their pride
But look in the distance and you will see
The majority of sequels with supremacy.

They can go bad, but nothing is perfect
Plus opinion remains part of the subject
Still, sequels are made with good intention
That alone deserves your attention.

Whether it be more levels, better graphics and play
Sequels for games are the best in today
So don't give up for mishaps from the past
For these creatures are everywhere, making our fun, last.

It's clever, I suppose.
But generally I don't like poems.

This is a poem I wrote when I was 10, it got published aswell.

WIND
Wind rustles through the trees
Violently kicking leaves
The trees are moving swaying
Wind Blows leaves far away.

Zooming quickly through the cracks
Violently the wind attacks
Slamming doors and windows too
Quickly quickly rushing through.

Wind blows a can along the street
As strong as someone's kicking feet
It hits a wall and falls down dead
As if a person dying in a bed.

Great don't you think? Lol :) It's published in "All Aboard" and is filled with other works of tiny people genious.

you do have a point though sequels do generate a lot of hype and then the developers have a habit rushing out rubbis. a decent game may come out and then sequels are made that are more or less the same or are inferer.
