The two major examples of this must be Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
A few weeks ago, the Blairs went on holiday, just like they, and everyone else are entitled to. The entire British press follow them to Egypt just to report on how they are enjoying themselves on holiday. Cant they be left alone to enjoy their holiday in peace.
Gordon Brown has been enduring the biggest come-down and worst few days of his life. If you view teletext, watch the news or read a newspaper, then you can't escape the regular updates on poor Jennifers health. The birth of a child is supposed to be the most joyful occasion in his life, but a few hours later it emerged that she was very ill. Even on the television, it gives a news report just to say that the family have just left the hospital. A man, albeit one in the public eye is enduring some of the worst feelings any person can have, and yet the press seem to think the public want to know everything tht is going on, forfeiting the privacy of a man.
The new lows that the press have sunk to have reached to intruding an entire families holiday, as well as poking into the life of a newly born child, who faces possible, dare I say it probable death.
Do we have no shame
