pokemon success was due to nintendo being well known for the baby titles that they bring out, little kids went out and bought everything to do with nintendo and pokemon and all the grown up gamers went and purchased themselves a ps2 with tekken tag and ssx and then waiting for the excellent GT3 and gta3 not to mention all the ace titles coming out in the next year (MGS2) next week, i put it in brackets to catch your attention because you know that MGS2 will rule the world of gaming until a new blockbuster is released in the form of DEUS EX or TEKKEN 4 and lots of other ps2 blockbuster titles that are going to kill off the world of nintendo gaming and pokemon!
Pokemon made its apperaence on TV so people were bound to go out and purchase a game to do with the boring yet innotive form of TV entertainment.
Just think of this next year as a PS2 year and lets leave the boring and childish pokemon dead where it belongs and lets get as many people buying a ps2 with MGS2 as possible.
Just think in 5 years once pokemon and nintendo have died, PS2 will still be out there rocking the world of gaming and we might even be lucky enough to own a PS3 with some more great titles from SONY!
