Is it true that Xbox plays any type of disc, icluding gamecube?
It's quite possible the previously mentioned post about the Xbox playing dreamcast games could be true. Seeing as Sega are now developing software for all consoles, it's more than likely they'd like to be able to collaborate with Microsoft on the Xbox so it can play DC games.
It'd make a little more money for Sega before the DC becomes completely obselete.

It was rummored that it would play Dreamcast games but I dont think anything has been said since!! I very much doubt it though!!
I've heard nothing of this and feel it's ridiculous!! Not even Microsoft could create something that allows any kind of disc to run on it's hardware!!
