What is it with internet compatable games. You buy one and play single player and it's great. You play it over and over and over again, getting better and better and better. But there's one thing I always notice. Most internet games like this are great online aswell but you can never play it. Why because you only have a 56K modem. I mean y do they publish these games which are great single player but you need DSl or higher to even stand a chance of getting a good ping on it. I mean not every1 can afford it. Medal of Honor Allied assault for example. I don't know how many times I've played that game. But when I used to go to play on it online it was inpossible. I mean u can't move with a ping of 999 try shooting, well leave it there a few mins and you may discover uve blown ureself up if u've you got a bazzoka. I've got DSl now but the expansion is even worse, I'll b lucky to get a ping of 300 on that game. Ther's too much data being senmt at 1 time. If you ask me if a company makes a game which is internet compatable they need to get one thing straight, the things you need. It's pointless having it so that every1 needs DSL people won't play it. but you need it so that you can play on it on a 56K modem and doesnt lag and I've only ever seen a few games that do that.Cossacks. I mean look at the graphics on that. When I had a 56K modem i was on AOL. Now don't u dare tell me you don't know what that means, let me tell you anyway, ity uses up half the bandwidth, basically I've got a 56K that's as good as a 28K. Well in Cossacks I didn't have one bit of lag. Nothing. Now if a game with that type of graphics can play like that online y can't other games. I mean you gotta wonder. Do they do it intentionally to get you to buy DSL, I don't know but I do know that companies need to sort themselves out.

Well thx for reading my message sorry it's a bit long and depressing but I think it's gotta be said. Give me your ideas on this, I'd like to hear them.

Thx again

The fact of the matter is, is that because of the high quality graphics, and the sheer amount of frames, you Internet has to be fast to handle that amount of data transfer.

If it was too slow, it would fall out of sync with the faster connection at the other end, therefore, in theory, they would "see the future" before you.

Thus meaning, they're computer is downloading your data faster than you are downloading theirs. So basically, you can't use a slow connection.

Also, GAD attempts are usually around 3 times that size, but paragraphed.

The fact is, that games are made for broadband, because they can be played with mild fluency, and without 56kers slowing it down.

Pour example: Goldeneye it takes a second for a bullet to fire after you've clicked the z button. It just wouldn't be fun. X-Box live is helping the broadband movement through only allowing broadband connections, and if we want to play games which we can enjoy at reasonable speeds, I'm afraid that broadband is the only option for today's online games.

Anyways, broadband is getting cheaper, so quit yo
