I am quite into PC gaming, as I have said when I first joined SR. However, I didn't really pay particular attention to Medal of Honour: Allied Assault, because, frankly, it didn't look very good. However, in the new issue of PC Zone, MOH: Allied Assault is heralded as being "Better than Half Life". This really shocked me. Half Life, the best FPS ever, and the best PC Game ever, receiver of over 50 game of the year awards, has finally been bettered. I read the review, and by the sounds of things, MOH: AA looks amazing.

Now, I am very impatient and cannot wait until it is released. I am even thinking about importing a copy because it looks so good. I have played the demo through again and again, and the game is just SO good. As said in another topic, it doesn't use anti-aliasing, which to some seems like a bad thing, but it actually makes the game a hundred times better.

What made Half Life so good was that, while being extremely accessible and having great graphics and a good plot, the AI was truly amazing. Well, by the sound of things, and from what I have played, it will be the new-age Half Life. The Artificial Intellegence is to such a greater degree of excellence than games like Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament, that it is quite amazing.

And the irony of it all, is that the game is not hyped at all. I wasn't looking forward to it until playing it myself, and my advice to you is to do the same. This WILL be a brilliant game when finally released, and I am looking forward to it immensely. One thing which I am quite anxious about though, is whether the game will be released on consoles or not. When I didn't care about it, I thought it would be released on the PS2 aswell, since the other MOH games were on the PSone, yet on no release schedule do I see it. Mind you, if it is received well by the public, it will probably be released onto consoles; Half Life was never planned, whilst being developed, to be released onto consoles.

I can't wait for this game, and neither should you. In fact, I think I'll look into importing a copy, I'm that excited...

You can get the demo from FilePlanet for a limited time. That is the only place I know. I have played the demo and this game is going to be big...real big. It has excellent sound, excellent game play, Saving Private Ryan'esque graphics and... oh, it's just brilliant!

Its probably downloadable, but it comes with the new issue of PC Zone. However, I'm a subscriber so it won't be in shops for another week or so. It also comes with a free full version of Everquest, which is Sweet. However, I can't get it to install. Heh heh, I did persuade my dad to get a new PC (a feat I'm proud of). Heh heh.
