The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Very frequently, people post funny-ish stories, based on absolutely nothing at all.
They involve SR forum members, and are basically just stories with some humour.
This, however, is not the definition of a spoof.
A spoof's proper name is a parody.
Now, many of these "spoofs" posted on SR are nothing of the kind.
A parody is a story, twisted around another to humourous effect.
OK, 0069 - The Porn is Not Enough was one, but really, that's the only one I can remember at the moment.
Of course, it was based around 007, but what are these other spoofs based on?
I really couldn't say a lot of the time......
So, what I'm saying is, someone, do a real spoof, a good 'ol proper parody, that is even remotely based on a book/film/TV Programme/Topic.
Well, some. The rest are stories. Minus the humour.

Oooooh...brutal. :D
You really are an idiot, yes?
I wan't taking a dig at absolutely no-one, I was merely stating that the stories that go under the category of spoof, are, infact, not spoofs at all.
So no, you shut up until you learn to understand the words you read, and process them in thought.
It will be based on nothing but my insane mind.
