According to an MSNBC report, "hundreds" of X-Box's are faulty, and do not work.

Why do I say hundreds? Why, because that's about 1% of the products shipped. It's about the same amount as faulty Gamecubes... and to be fair, it isn't that bad at all.

However. There is one small problem. One that perhaps isn't that small, and I know one or two people on here judge companies by it.

Customer Service.

People that have received faulty Gamecubes are generally happy, and have received fully working goods promptly, for no extra costs. There have been little complaints.

Microsoft however, have messed it up a bit. Some are getting their consoles within days, and some are then yet to receive them, who have applied at the same times.

You would think that Microsoft would be used to dealing with complaints, wouldn't you? :0)

Despite my liking of the Xbox, Microsoft are the kind of company that just take your money and don't give a damn if something goes wrong.

Microsoft have never had very efficient customer services. I've rang them 3 times and they've just told be to consult the "Knowledge base" (frightening that they need one), despite one of them being a problem with my modem!

Sega's CS was always very helpful. I got 3 free MegaDrive 2s off them due to various faults, and Sony were very good about getting a new Dual Shock 2 to me after I spilt Ribena in it. Can't say much about Nintendo, but I think you could have guessed that.

Customer service seems very important these days. One of the best customer services I have ever come across is Linux Debian. Literally, anything I need help with I just go to #debian on irc.linux.com and I usually get an answer very quickly. Luke is a great help too, but that's a different story.
