After playing many games you discover many have a moral to the story. Today my friends I shall look at some of these morals and how they are presented:
Game: Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3
Moral: Never hit Women
Result: Whilst crashing about in public area's you will see the Male members of the public dart aside or fall meanwhile hit the Women and prepare to experience a world of pain!
Game: Conker's Bad Fur Day
Moral: Don't drink exceedingly.
Result: In Conker's extreme case he got lost, had to fight some unpleasant creatures, an entire race of cave men got wiped out, he died several times and he lost the love of his life.
Game: Conker's Bad Fur Day
Moral: War is bad
Reason: It surprised many to see a game that had been filled with such stupidity could actually make you stop and think and the early scenes of the "it's war" chapter managed to do that, something we shall never forget.
Game: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Moral: Never Believe a talking tree
Reason: He's a little boy for Christ sake who has to fight against all these evil creatures, he becomes an adolescents in record time all because he followed the instructions of a talking tree... honestly.
Game: Resident Evil
Moral: Never go in an empty mansion at the dead of night.
Result: Fighting evil hoards of Zombies and watching your friends die one by one.
Game: Mario (any)
Moral: Not all Plumbers are bad.
Reason: He has saved the mushroom kingdom and the life of the princess many times and he doesn't ask for a deposit first. What a nice chap.
Game: Mario Kart
Moral: Nice guys finish last.
Reason: Try winning without using weapons... go on :D
Game: Goldeneye
Moral: Shooting Scientists is bad.
Result: Either failed mission or an angry scientist with a DD4 or even worse a Grenade.
Game: Conker's Bad Fur Day
Moral: Never trust a Gangster
Result: Wiped out race, dead girlfriend etc...
There is a small collection of the mass morals you will find in games today, what have you come up with? Go on give it a go name the game, the moral and how it is shown!
