In that post I told of how my Mum called my GameCube a ‘CubeStation’. It was only yesterday that my Mum and Dad were talking about the coursework I should be doing and then my Dad said “You’re doing a course in PlayCube aren’t you Ryan”. I was pretty shocked hearing that a day after I had posted about what my Mum said and also amused on top of it all.
So let me get this straight:
Mum – “CubeStation”
Dad – “PlayCube”
Both of them have taken elements from the words ‘GameCube’ and ‘Playstation’ which I own.
Now on top of them being both very stupid I have realised that there is more to it then that. I actually think they are living geniuses.
Why?
Because they have found the solution for all this “I hate da Playstation poo” and “GC iz 4 da baby” comments. They have found the missing brick of the console wars they have found something that will stop all this ranting about which games console is better.
How?
Well they have taken two consoles of a different calibre and combined them together, prehaps to make a super console?!?
So if we stretch our minds back deep into the gaming history we can grab a whole load of different consoles which had all kinds of different good and bad points and turn them into a combined product.
Check it out.
Dreambox
Combining the underrated power of the Sega Dreamcast and the Microsoft Xbox we have the Dreambox. The name says it all – It is a box and it is a dream to own. Think about it, the pad would be pretty similar to the Xbox’s and the Dreamcasts as in real lfie they are actually pretty similar. You have the two triggers at the back of the controller and room for expansion at the top of the pad. The Dreamcast ran on Windows CE and who makes Windows? Microsoft of course and so that is what the Dreambox would run on. The games would appeal to both the Western side of the world and the Eastern with Microsoft creating Western games and Sega, being Japanese, creating the Eastern. In terms of size, this one will be debatable, but in power this one has it all.
Super Dreambox Entertainment System
The update with a taste of Nintendo added. Known also as the SDES.
Gamestation
Not to be confused with the shop, Gamestation is a console which would be made by Nintendo and Sony. It has the fun, enjoyable games of the GameCube aswell as the popularity of the Playstation. The pads would have shoulder buttons unlike the Dreambox (or the Super Dreambox Entertainment System) and the console would be a massive hit seeing Sony know of the electrical side of things and Nintendo the games. Although this all sounds great the console may have an early death. This is most likely to be caused by constant arguments breaking out in the Gamestation’s headquarters in Toyko. The reason these arguments and sometimes full scale Japanese style Sumo Wrestling matches would occur is because of Nintendo’s love of colour. “Keep it Black and simple!” say the little Sony men. “No! We must have it Purple or maybe Spice” say the little Nintendo men. “Bloody bunch of Spice girls” says some little Sony man in the corner.
Dreamboy
A handheld console strictly for Girls. Maybe some Boys too, you never know these days. Designed by Sega and Nintendo to get Girls into gaming to keep their stress levels down and features games like ‘Kiss Chase’ and ‘Super Snog Land’.
Neo-Saturn
The Dreamboy’s contender in the handheld marker and created by SNK and Sega. This console is designed for Boy’s unlike the Dreamboy and so features a lot more guns aswell as a lot more guts. No more running around kissing Boy’s, it’s time to kill…Men?
Master Drive 64
A combination of the 8-bti power of the Master System, the 16-bit power of the Mega Drive and the 64 bit power of the Nintendo 64. You have the Master Drive 64. Erm…this one just died.
That’s me bored now.
There. No more arguing.

But the Gamestation is far superior to the Dreambox.:-o
Interesting and cool post MWA.:-D
> The Dreamcast didn't run on Windows CE
Meh, I just had a quick look at the front of my DC. I knew it was Windows but had to look for the CE part. Still, it had it on it.
