why can't this country like the japanese (gaming wise) its just they've got all this great rpg's that are really good weve got one,final fantasy x, and i suppose dark cloud was alright but what am saying is to be more open minded because at the moment it seems english minds can only stretch as far as the next EA release we need more games like gitaroo man and frequency which both brought in the most of its genre.
Because most of the games made in Japan don't even get released here for starters, in fact many are pretty much for a niche market, you mention gitaroo man and frequency ? They barely sold.
Just because a game is japanese does not mean it is brilliant, and I'd hazard a guess that the USA and UK both have just as many excellent games they have made. Look at some of the greats from recent years; Tomb Raider, Halo, GTA, FIFA, Splinter Cell, e.t.c most don't come from Japan.
Sure, many Japanese games are ace, I'm looking forward to Panzer Dragoon orta, DOAX Volleyball and Steel Batallion (if I can afford it!) to name just a few.
