Here's a direct quote from one of my most treasured sources:

"While there is no official word yet, several retailers in Europe and Australia are indicating that GameCube will see a March 15, 2002, release in the PAL territories.

Nintendo of Europe has a long history of giving away its parent company's secrets and this may be another example of that--since several retailers seem to have come to a concensus. Also possible is that a ship date of March 15 is only tentative, as the date has been kept quiet until demand in Japan and North America could be accurately measured. In any case, this should certainly relieve European gamers' fears that the console would be seeing a delay to Fall 2002.

Also worth noting is that March 15 is the scheduled launch date of Microsoft's XBOX in Europe. Whether this indicates a serious will to launch alongside the competing console or a bluff on the part of NOE is anyone's guess."

Although this is exciting news, this is in no way a confirmed date and the fact that Nintendo of Japan stated an April/May launch just before Christmas doesn't do this news any favours.

I think your right Solskjaer, the X Box is released on March 14th. The GameCube in the USA beat the X Box (I think) in sales ven though the box was released a week earlier. A march 15th release would be fine with me.

I think that the X-box's release date is 14th of March. And there's no way that the Cube will be delayed 'till Autumn, but a 15th March release would be great!
