This came from http://www.corona.bc.ca/films/mainFramed.html.

There is a film coming out to rival Jaws, simply titled Meg. Read the synopsis below:

"While on a deep-sea expedition for the navy off the Georgia/North Carolina coast, oceanographer Jonas Taylor comes face-to-face with a resurgent 60-foot carcharodon megalodon -- in layman's terms, a prehistoric great white shark that makes Jaws look like a salmon. Panic stricken, Taylor brings his submersible to the surface too quickly, resulting in the death of two Navy officers. The disaster ends his career and throws him into depression, while the Meg now knows how to get to the shallower depths -- and a new source of food awaits."

"Jurassic Park meets Jaws. The opening scene is said to take place 65 million years ago, where one of the megalodons (not the same one, right?) hunts and catches a T.Rex wading in the ocean surf. The purpose of that scene seems to be clear: this thing is meaner than the Rexs you saw in Spielberg's three dino films. Another scene features the shark in the present barreling out of the water and grabbing a helicopter hovering over the water, then bringing it down into the depths with it."

If you don't believe that, then look at this terrorfying picture:

The third Blair Witch film is in production, and it's set to be a prequel to past installments.

"Long before the dissapearance of the three student filmmakers in the woods surrounding Burkittsville, Maryland, the legend of the Blair Witch existed. This film chronicles the events that led to the township of Blair driving an accused witch named Elizabeth Kedward into the woods, and the subsequent hauntings that plaqued the town for decades after her supposed death."

"After their huge success with the first film, the creators of The Blair Witch Project maintained that one of the idea for a follow-up picture was to focus on the legend surrounding Elly Kedward, the witch of Blair, and the mystery surrounding her trail and banishment from the town in the 17th century. Now it looks like they'll return to the woods again."

Some more interesting Terminator 3 info - I am REALLY looking foward to this film.

"Details are scarce right now, but some plot points are known. The war against the machines and the humans will happen in 2001, and this film will show how it happens. John Connor will emerge as the central character in this film, and again he will have another Terminator as one of his allies. But another sentient machine, its make, model and purpose not yet revealed, will become one of Connor's chief adversaries."

Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones:

"Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker discover there is more than meets the eye behind an assassination attempt on Naboo Senator Padmé Amidala's life. Meanwhile, a Sith Lord orchestrates events between the forces of good and evil, all the while waiting to play the final move that will ensure him control of the galaxy."

There WILL be a Rush Hour 3, but no actors are confirmed.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers WILL have the same actors from the original movie.

"Three million years in the future, the crew of the mining vessel Red Dwarf make their way back to Earth. The thing is, nobody has warned Earth about it."

Yes, finally - a Red Dewarf film, and they're coming back home! Thank you god!

We are knew that American Psycho would spawn a sequel, but with a twist - this is The Rules of Attraction. This time around, Patrick Bateman will take the place of his older brother.

"A dangerous love triangle develops amongst a group of promiscuous rich kids attending a liberal arts college in New England."

Adam Sandler plans to unleash his latest comedy flick on us all, with Anger Management...and Jack Nicholson will star with him!

"When a shy and withdrawn businessman is mistakenly ordered to take an anger-management program, he comes into direct confrontation with the aggressive and opinionated instructor."

Star Trek 10 is also in the works.

"Picard and his Enterprise crew face their most dangerous adversary yet: a young human named Shinzon who led a coup d'etat and who now commands the Romulan Empire."

Nothing but trouble is brewing for the Scorpion King movie.

"In the land that would one day be known as Egypt, a maurading force subjugates a peaceful village. One of the peasants from this village escapes and joins a band of mercenaries, eventually rising in stature and importance in order to save the life of his kidnapped beloved. Eventually he is crowned as the first Pharoah of Egypt."

More information has been given out about James Bond 20.

"Pierce Brosnan said shortly after the release of the last Bond film, The World is Not Enough that he was thinking of giving up his PPK for good in his next secret agent outing. Recently, Brosnan seems to have changed his tune and is instead saying he's thankful for a three year break between his stints as 007, allowing him the opportunity to explore other acting challenges."

Ecks .vs. Sever - the film!

"An FBI agent (Jonathan Ecks) and a rogue NSA agent (Sever) are playing a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with each other. Each has been ordered to assassinate the other, but when they start closing in on each other, they discover that they both work for the same employer and are part of a larger conspiracy."

MIB 2

"The return of those lovable, huggable MIB's. Why? Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man!"

Blade 2

"The Daywalker known as Blade is forced to ally himself with a group of vampires because of a terrifying new type of undead called a "Reaper". Part vampire, part death incarnate and completely consumed with bloodlust, vampires are to Reapers what humans are to vampires: prey. As the first Reaper, Nomak, continues turn both humans and vampires being into more of his kind, Blade must find a way to end this threat -- and survive his uneasy truce with the bloodsuckers he's allied himself with."

Final Destination 2

"A new group of young people cheat what appears to be certain death, only to find themselves succumbing to the grim reaper one at a time."

There will also be 2 sequels to Harry Potter and a Jackass movie!

This sounds like an excellent few years for movies ahead of us.

To the future!

Indeed - it does look fake, as though the body has been smoothed into the water and what the hell is that surfer doing? He's surfing into the direction of a massive tidal wave :D

"I said be quiet."

Exactly, why I said it's hilarious.

"And that picture just takes the mick."

Yep - it defeats the object of realism!

Deep Blue Sea was load of pants, but the scene where Samuel L Jackson gets eaten was a classic, even if the effects where a bit crappy.
