I have just ordered a PS2 today. The other week I went round my mates house and he had a new PS2 with GTA3, It is one of the best games I have ever played!
On new year's eve, I went to another mates house who had This is Football and GT3 and It impressed me even more!
I was originally only going to buy a Gamecube because I know Nintendo means quality gaming e.g. Zelda, Goldeneye, Mario Kart etc.
I have now decided to buy both the PS2 and Gamecube for the quality games both consoles are releasing.
I know there is currently a big rivalry but I hate it when people are at each others throats about which one is "better", Both have their qualities!
I am wondering if there is anyone out there going to buy a Gamecube and PS2. Maybe some people will be mad enough to get all 3!
2002 is going to be a great year for Sony and Nintendo and I wish everyone the on the forum the greatest gaming year they could possibly wish for!

i would get all three but it's miles out of my budget.
Don't bother yourself too much with the rivalry - the companies just have a normal "healthy" business rivalry; it's nowhere near as bitter or personal as it sometimes get between the fans!
Nice to see you've been converted to buy a PS2. I've had a PS2 since launch and have an X-Box on pre-order. Should get a GC before the year is out, I must be MAD.

You have definately made the right choice by getting a PS2, its a great machine, GTA3 is a very impressive game, and its helped many people make the same decision, this new year is going to be made even better with new games such as Virtua fight 4, tekken 4, soul caliber 2, medal of honour, MGS2 plus many many more!, now is the best time to get a PS2 and if you havent got one i suggest you have a go on one and i bet you will be impressed by the current line-up!
