I was bored the other day, and to be honest with you, you’d have to be bored to think of this game idea. Well, my idea was to become a school head teacher. It would be similar to The Sims, Roller Coaster Tycoon and a Football Manager, taking aspects from each game and adjusting them to the school scene. I decided to think about this idea in a bit more detail, and these are the ideas I came up with.

First of all, you can either apply for the job of head teacher at an existing school, or you can make your own new school. When making your own school, you can either use a Simsish build mode where you drop and drag classrooms, stairways and pathways around the screen. After finishing the basic structure of your school and accepting all of the students that have applied, you may need to accommodate for the accepted number of students.

So, it’s a new year and a whole bunch of kids have applied to come to your school. You can select whether you won’t to scroll through each and every one of the applications, or you can just have it simulated and the worst applications then appear in a list. You would have to look at the small list that has appeared and decide whether to reject or accept these students.

While the school year is going ahead, you will have to overcome numerous challenges. Not only will bullying, bunking and general misbehaviour appear throughout the year, but you may have to sort out special things that only happen in a blue moon. A member of staff may, as my school would know, be accused of assault or bullying on of the students. After sacking this member of staff, it is up to you to recruit a new teacher, so you will once again have to sieve through all the applications and pick the suitable person.

So, to overcome the standard problems, you may have to adapt to the new systems that are being thought of at the moment. CCTV may have to be introduced in order to stop the problems that keep arising, or you may need to introduce the ol’ prefects to the scene. But you won’t only have to take charge of the school in the physical state, you will also have to arrange the food prices in the canteen and arrange buses that will bring your students to school.

Money is an important thing in this world, so it will also be an important feature in this game. As I have just said, pricing the food that is sold and arranging how the students get to school will be important to sort out. But you will also have to arrange stationery costs and staff wages. Computers may need to be bought, and you will need to decide whether some areas of the school are really needed, or whether the space could be used for something more important.

You may eventually want to become a specialist school, dependent on whether your students are excelling in a certain area. This will involve a lot of hard work and a lot of cash to start off with, but the rewards are huge. More cash, more free equipment and a lot more students that will want to come to your school.

All though the idea of a game evolving around the worst thing that could have ever happened to kids, I think that this game does sound pretty good, although I thought of it myself. The idea of school meeting the home consoles doesn’t sound very popular, but I’m sure a game like this would succeed.

That's all, so go vote Kylie for notable.

Ciao.

Well i'm guessing you didn't read the actual post. It wouldn't be like The Sims, where you actually watched your created character go to school. You take over a school, so it's really for people that like to be in control and are organised. After being at school all day, i'd hate to watch someone go to school. But actually running my own school would be pretty smart.
