My favourite game was Mr Freeze which took me hours to complete because it was so hard! Computer games now lack difficulty!
The ZX spectrum was what really introduced me to computers! I learnt how to load, save, and do all the basics on a ZX Spectrum!
I liked the fact that you could get Joysticks in the shape of Film characters. I found an old Terminator Joystick and years ago I saw a Batman oe in the shops.
About 4 years later I got a ZX Spectrum 128K +2! I got it second hand off someone and it had over 170 games! It was amazing! I was on it every day trying out all the games and they were really playable even though they were in 2D!
The only bad moments I had with the ZX Spectrums were the loading times. It took 3 minutes to load simple games but almost 30 minutes for the complex games! Also the fact that the ZX spectrum could only handle around 5 colours at a time before resetting!
The good thing is it never crashed! It reset but never crashed! I was never stuck on a screen with loads of pixels and a horrible noise. Also you didn't have to worry about booting it up! If you pressed reset at any time you didn't have to run a scandisk program to check for errors!
That's my main history with the ZX Spectrum!
