Yes, but ask yourself this; Out of those, how many would you buy? For me one: Fable.

Let's ask the audience. How biased was that, on the scale of ten?
"Eleven"
You do realise you've chosen all the bad points of one console, and compared it against the other. You've basically said what the xbox has, and what the GC doesn't. It's like saying: PS2 has an i.link cable. Xbox doesn't. Gamecube can be connected to GBA, PS2 can't. Get my drift.
Not many people care about the DVD player, as it is pretty bad, and if they want a DVD player, they're not gonna buy an Xbox.
> Custom low capacity disc
I'd just like to say that the GC discs can carry up to the same amount as a DVD, coz they arnt like normal CD's they have there own secret thing, thats why you cant read them on your CD drive.
When you play on SNES games do you not like them coz they are not as graphical as modern games? No, its what the gameplay is like.

To be fair, almost all X-Box games could fit onto a GC 8cm Disc.

After you buy the twenty pound add-on, and learn to cope with the loud whirring of the fan..
> Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS
I get fine sound out of my regular, Stereo TV on my GC. Who's going to pay one hundred or so pounds for a 5.1 setup anyway?

Broadband adaptor for GCN is just twenty quid, while the 251 memory card is about fifteen.
> Wide selection of games
I'd say the X-Box has the most limited amount of games. There are so many people out there who can't think of a thing they want one for.

Compression techniques can be used, and what's wrong with multiple discs?
> No DVD-Video for movies
No, but it's a games console. Besides, you have to pay extra to watch DVDs on an X-Box.
> Limited to Dolby Prologic2
Which to any normal person is just as good as 5.1.

As I say, these can be bought cheap.

Huh? Larger selection of games, with more variety and higher quality.
The food.....

i very much agree but dont do that long stuff!
XBox
DVD-ROM - *4.7GB*
DVD-Video using special remote. Plays DVD movies - *Software, any standalone DVD player will produce a much higher quality picture*
Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS - *Of which most people can't afford the speakers*
Broadband adaptor already installed - *Broadband is not very widely available, this increases the price of the console for people who do not want the adaptor*
Built in hard disc drive - *Pointless really, reduces load times in theory, but the gamecube has very short load times anyway so....*
Wide selection of games - *Most of which are available on PS2 or Gamecube also*
GameCube
Custom low capacity disc - *1.4GB is hardly small - CD is only 700MB - and PC games come on CD...*
No DVD-Video for movies - *As explained before(
Limited to Dolby Prologic2 - *Cheaper to get speakers for*
No built in broadband adaptor (and only serial ports for external
adaptors) - *Reduces cost of console, only people who want to use the broadband adaptor have to buy it*
No built in hard disc - *Explained previously*
Smaller selection of games, with less diversity - Thats just a load of crap.
