If you look at the first two games, Rockstar created all of those songs and comical adverts from scratch, with their amazing imaginations. They also catered for people of all tastes by having a wide variety of musical styles from, pop, rock, dance and even some fun country music about scary, hairy women, yes. In GTA3 they demonstrated the ability to include an original and very straight talking chat host in the form of Laslow, and in Vice City they proved that they could recognise top quality real life acts that people actually enjoyed listening to, again, providing music for all. With Iron Maiden for rockers, Michael Jackson and Blondie for pop fans, MC Hammer for rap fans and the all-new Maurice Chavez as the new chat host.
So, what if Rockstar were to create a radio station that included all elements of the stations from the games? It would be original, as Rockstar have shown the ability to make their own material from scratch, it would be extremely comical due to the inclusion of some real wacky adverts and with Laslow as a chat host, or someone else who is just as flamboyant. It would also contain music of all different varieties, unlike most radio stations that actually exist now, it’s all pop, pop, and pop just now. So in my view it has the potential to be entertaining to mostly everyone due to the variety of the content and good taste in music.
Say you were driving to work and you happened to tune into Rockstar FM, and a real fun chat host came on air, I’m pretty sure it would cheer you up before heading in for another day in the office. I know it would cheer me up J.
Also, try to look at it from a financial point of view. Rockstar would be able to advertise their own products without having to shell out hundreds of thousands in advertising costs, so it could be a financial advantage to them as well.
So what do you think?
Would you listen to something like that?

I knew he was a real radio guy, but I never heard of him before GTA3.
*Thinks of the GTA3 interview with Reed Tucker*

Classic.
Lazlow Jones.
He used to do Technofile on Sky ages ago, and he writes a bit in Playboy (a technical bit).
And, uh, don't ask me how I know....
*ahem*
The radio in GTAs was probably the 1st really funny thing in a game, just the sarcastic / ironic / toungue-in-cheek humour's just my kind.
Although it would probably get taken off air, and they'd get boring guests on - not freaks.
Go radio people .... Lazlow!
Yeah, get him to do it.

I thought someone would say that.
:)
I actually realised that after I posted it, what I mean is what if they actually started up a real radio station. I reckon it could be pretty good.
But they did. And they're in the GTA games.
