I am writing this letter to find a solution from you guys.
As I just purchase a Man Utd magazine recently, there was a competition called the; "Aladdin's Cave". The competition is basically all abut luck. You scratch using a coin on a panel and some symbols would appear. If the symbols appears more than three times, you won. I was lucky enough to be one of the winners and was feeling excited. How would you feel if you have won either a multimedia PC, VCR, Digital camcorder, Hi-Fi with CD, $500 cash (pounds), 25 inch television or a voucher of 250 pounds? Worse of all a garnd prize of 50,000 pounds! But the rule states that the competition is only open to UK residents and must be 18 yeras of age or above. I am a Singaporean and know nothing what is going on there and I want to claim my prize desperately. Would you guys please help me find a solution?

Well once when I bought my copy of the Man U mag,I scratched of and won!But one of my friends had won once and he said that he sat on the phone for 20 mins anwering a quiz about the mag to find out that he had won a cheapy £1.50 mag I cant remember the name though. So I decided not to bother phoning in.It costs 60p a minute as well!

Th chances of you winning are about 50/50 so dont get wound up about it.

P.S dont use the 'p'word on the website it could get you in trouble!

My sister is doing Young Enterprise at the moment. I did it last year and despite my recommendations of a good printing firm to go to, he company decided to look into another local one. Well they went to the front shop and were asking about various things and they were told that the best money maker was scratch cards. The printing people offered to print the scratch cards and to set up a phone line, and said that no one had to win; a prize could just be given to one of their friends.

Scratch cards are a con. Don't phone up; you won't win a major prize. If you win anything at all it will be small, useless and not worth the price opf the phone call.

I think that you should also realise that by using the 'P' word you are swearing. And that swearing can get you into trouble on this site. But you weren't aiming it at anyone so you should be ok, this time.

You ALWAYS win those scratch-card games, that's why their free!! Every time I do one I fing that i've got the 3 fishes you need to win, and that there's NEVER a card where you DON'T win! When you look at the prizes you're tempted cuz of the PC's, money and holidyas, but when you claim you get a 'free pen' or a '£10 voucher for WH Smith'!! Not exactly what you would be expecting! And to ring up and se what you've one it costs you over a pound a minute, lasting around 5! That's probably more than what the prize costs, and it's probably a trick they use to get you to pay for it. Haven't you also got to pay for postage and packaging aswell?? All a waste of time if you ask me!

You will have won the £250 of vouchers which can only be spent on a holiday which costs at least £2500.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Trust me, every single scratch card that falls from magazines are scams. You haven't won £10,000, you haven't won a new tv, you've probably won a set of matching plastic earings, which will cost you more to pay for than they're worth.

The phoneline you have to call to "check what prize you've won" will be about £1 to £2 a minute, and will only tell you what I've just told you for free.

Really, just throw away the scratchcard, it's a big con.
