Heres my theory sega's last console was not the dreamcast i think they are releasing all their wonderful games on other consoles to show gamers just how good their games really are and when all the silly little people realise what they have missed out on, sega will once again release a console and this time it will blow all the little fishies out of the water.This may not happen in 2002 or 2003 but it will happen MARK MY WORDS.
ahh yeah mustn't forget shenmue 2.
mind you it still has teh problem of the first where it doesn't always have good pacing.
jobs are really boring too in the game.
and they better sort out the slowdown.....

the problem is that the actual games that have been released so far on the ps2.....are mostly good but not THAT impressive.
i mean headhunter against mgs2...no contest...not to say headhunter is a BAD game...i have it for the dc but it has A LOT of problems in my opinion
18 wheeler wasn't a success on dc and nor will it be on ps2
crazy taxi is good...BUT they could have reduced the pop up and improved the graphics of such an old game....gameplay still in tact though....gc version also critised for above reason.

and i played the demo recently (ps2 version) and got esp bored.
sega gt 2000 -not really sure about this one....could be really good BUT will it eclipse gt3? (now i know some of you don't like gt3 but i thiink iti is GREAAT)
however i DO like sega...i like my dc...and here are some of teh games that will be a real blast for teh ps2 and x box(sorry i'm not well informed on gc)

rez -short but addictive i've heard...totally weird...
space channel ver 1 and 2 -played the first one and really liked it cos there was nothing like it out and addictive...short though...lookign forward to ver 2
virtua tennis 2002 -this will be brilliant...will be the tennis game to own on the ps2...if it has online....this will be even better

yep show the worlds how good the games are and them stop making them on all the different consoles and keep all the games on to their secret console.

It's a nice thought, but unless the market changes substantially, SEGA are going to make more money as a software manufacturer than by releasing a new console, so that is what they will do. They are trying to make money, not satisfy their fans, which is ironically what they did wrong by delaying the Saturn to extend the Megadrive's life.

Namco is a bigger publisher than Sega at the mo... why don't they release a console..
To enter the market is a LOT harder than it was in the past.. Sega will need to be sold by CSK and bought by someone very rich to get enough backing to get another console off the ground.

Well, by 2003, Sega will be the second biggest publisher after Ninty... so then it is possible they could launch another console...
