Also, how long do you tend to boil for?

*sigh* The good old days. Even though I don't know anything about them.
They must be boiled for exactly 30 minutes 30 seconds 30 milliseconds (If overboiled or underboiled by a millisecond the squids lethal toxins will vaporise you).
It must then be slapped several times with a well worn slipper, to bring out the flavour.
Next take a blunt knife and carefully cut away the layers of flesh. Be careful, the squid only contains one cubic centimetre of edible meat, the rest of its flesh is highly toxic and will vaporise you. The knife must be blunt enough to make this task as difficult as possible.
Finally you must soak the morscel of flesh in sweat distilled from a cat's nether regions to nullify the less highly dangerous toxins in the edible flesh.
Serve with sautéd potatoes, a nice chianti and have a reputable doctor close at hand.
