If you're short of everything but the enemy, you're in a combat zone.
If your advance is going really well, you're walking into an ambush.
If your attack is going really well, you're IN an ambush.
If you're forward of your position, artillery fire will fall short.
The splash damage of a hand grenade is always one foot greater than the distance you can jump.
Tracers work both ways.
When in doubt, empty your magazine.
