You'll remember during the phone-in scandals, Blue Peter were caught cheating children with a phone-in competition. Apparently there was a techincal problem and rather than cancel it they got a kid who was in the studio to call in and be the winner.
Ofcom has fined Blue Peter £50,000 for doing this and cheating all those kids.
As you already know Blue Peter is done by the BBC and the BBC gets the bulk of it's money from the licence payers.
That's right, we're paying the fine for the BBC for cheating our kids. =/ I suppose the thread title should say, Licence payers fined £50,000.
I've never been a fan of the licence fee and I don't know why people like Kawada support it. Apart from Doctor Who, Top Gear and the other odd programs I don't really watch the BBC channels.
