Just thought i'd comment on the extremely well designed Gamecube Controller. Its brilliant, easy to hold.....

....And the huge "A" button is really cool, I like the button layout. Although why did Nintendo decide to label their buttons "A,X,Y,B" just like Xbox's?

Strange.

That is all.

The original Mega Drive controller was only A,B,C it was special 3rd party controllers and special edition SEGA controllers that had the X,Y,Z buttons.

Hmm, wasn't the old mega drive 6 button pad A B C, X Y Z

And if you lose the last two buttons from the right, you get A B, X Y

Which was first - the SNES or mega drive's 6 button pad?

Good point.

The "Z" button is quite annoying at times....

Nah, putting them in just normal alphabetical order is for boring people like Sega.

I've always wondered why it isn't A,B,Y,Z.

The main bad thing about the XBox controller is the lack of disticnt buttons. The A/B/X/Y buttons are all grouped together too much and are the same size.

Too difficult for my poor brain. :)
