We've agreed a deal with Man United - now we've just got to persuade the £8million striker to come to Blackburn!

I mean, everyone would relish a move from 5th place, title challengers to 14th place, hopefully mid table finishers - wouldn't they?

But Andy Cole? At Newcastle he scored an incredible amount of goals, but you've always sensed that at Man United, he's never done as well, scoring less, missing thousands, and so he'd be the ideal candidate to come and help Blackburn, miss loads of goal scoring opportunities.

However, I think Andy Cole, should we sign him eventually, would have a great future at the club - a lower status club, less pressure, I think him and Matt Jansen up front could be deadly.

Andy Cole - top bloke, lets get him signed up and in a blue n white shirt :)

Last I hear we were going to big £6 for Diego Forlan, a 23 year old Uruguayan striker, who incedentally, is still eligable for the champions league this season.

Good business me thinks.

£8M for a 30 yr old?

We have hardly used him this season.

Hopefully money will be invested into a defender now.

This this go to prove that fergie will only play with one striker all the time? cos now we only got 3 recognised strikers.

Or will we purchase another striker?

What happens if Van man gets injured?! we cant play bloody yorkie up front!

If Van Man dont get injjured we should be fine, but i would like to see some extra cover for him. Cos van nistelrooy cant play every bloody game, especially when the champs league starts again.

Well as a Man Utd fan I'll miss him.

He scored a hatful of goals, some really vital ones too.

People are happy to criticise him, but you don't get that many goals against quality oppostion without being a decent player.

Also look at the chances he made for others.

Blackburn have gotten themselves a bargain.

goodbye, and good luck Andy Cole.

He wanted first team football and at Blackburn he will get it. He still thinks he has a chance of going to the world cup, he is going to be very disappointed.

I can't believe it Blackburn have signed Andy Cole for around 8 Million, of all clubs he could have gone to! His valuation will go down a bit now.

I would have to agree, he will score a few goals for Blackburn and might save them in the relegation fight. But he is not going to make them championship contenders. He does score a high rate of goals per game, but if you compare theis will chances then his ratio is very poor. When he played for Newcastle they were at the top of the league, same at Utd. He will get few chances at Blackburn hence few goals.

You have got to laugh at smoething like this. A player of Cole's qualities, joining a club like Blackburn Rovers. He will score a few goals for them, but he won't score against Tottenham, due to Tottenham winning the game 8-0. By winning 8-0, they are scoring 8 goals themselves, Poyet 2, Sheringham 2, Ferdinand 1, Anderton 1, Rebrov 1 and Davies 1. Also, they are not conceding any goals and so Andy Cole can not be on the Blackburn scoresheet. Sorry to disappoint any Blackburn fans, fans, fans.

Another thing, Cole scored more goals for Man United than he did for Newcastle, although if you look at how many games he played for both clubs, you will see that goals to games ratio was much better at Newcastle, than it was at Man United.
