Ahh yes, Christmas time, the only part of the year when everybody is obliged to have a holiday. While most of the people on these forums are still at school/college, I, along with a lot of these people, are angry about a certain thing that comes with holidays.
Holiday homework. What is the bloody point. Holidays are a time when you don't have to work, to relax and have fun, but having this god-awful stuff to do it takes the whole point out of Christmas. Ideally, I would sleep until midday then laze about, but Oh no, I have to go around houses in the blistering cold weather delivering questionnaires for my statistics coursework. I do go on the internet, often though for research on history coursework. Out for a walk in the New Forest??? Nope, actually I'm out to measure the streams and erosion.
I've spent so much time these holidays doing homework, that my plan of spending all my time sleeping and playing PlayStation 2 has gone amiss. Luckily, I thought that at the moment I had all my homework sussed. Oh no, this morning I got a call from my piano teacher, about taking extra lessons during the holidays. Normally fine, but I have not done one single bit of practice since we broke up from school. Oh, and she reminded me that I have an exam to take in a few months time. Grrrr. Am I alone in thinking that we get holidays in order to take a break from work, or are we just being taken advantage of???
