The chip works fine using the instructions on modchip.com with any other version of the AR2, but not the 2.2 version.

Yeah dude, im not so sure if your modchip will play DVD backups. If the method that the site says doesnt work then it wont work with any other method.

My PS2 has been chipped with a No Solder Chip (v4) if it makes any difference?
You will have to wait for our resident pirate Hercules to arrive, he knows everything about playing backups.
